The Company Initiated Donation Activity for Lushan Earthquake Disaster Area
Ya’an Lushan Earthquake caused great losses on April 20. The company organized the earthquake relief activity immediately, and the system of General Manager Office investigated family conditions of seventeen Ya’an personnel as soon as possible and it expressed sincere sympathy to them on the behalf of the company. Adhering to its mission of “making contributions to the society”, the company took the lead in donating 200,000 yuan for earthquake relief. Shenzhen T&W Charity Foundation cooperated with the Editorial Office of the newspaper and released the donation proposal on April 22. The staff responded and donated actively, and the sum of 489,327.8 yuan was raised in total.
In order to respond to the Notification on Doing Well in Supporting Earthquake Relief Works in Sichuan Lushan Earthquake Disaster Area Orderly issued by the State Council, T&W Charity Foundation didn’t assign volunteers to go to the disaster area temporarily. The Foundation and Sound of T&W released Overcoming the Difficult by Mutual Love: the Donation Proposal for Lushan Earthquake Disaster Area on April 22. The company leaders including General Manager Tang and Chairman Wang took the lead in donating 3,000 yuan to the foundation respectively. The colleagues of the Foundation went to Top Management Reception Offices to donate personally. The staff donated enthusiastically and generously.
The donations were divided into three parts, including Company Donation, Foundation Donation and Staff Donation. According to the resolution of Board of Directors, the company donated 200,000 yuan to Charity Foundation, which will be transferred to the disaster area through it. T&W Charity Foundation will donate correspondingly, and it will collect donations from the staff and initiate the proposal among the staff mainly.
