Two production sites organized gathering dinners and lucky draw to celebrate Chinese New Year 2013
To encourage and express gratitude to the front-line employees for working right until the Chinese New Year, as well as to carry forward the Company’s fine tradition of caring for employees during the holiday season, the Service Section of General Manager's Office in Taicang facility elaborately prepared a New Year’s dinner for all the employees. On the 28th and 29th of January, more than 3,200 employees, divided into two groups, attended the 2013 Taicang T&W New Year’s Dinner and lucky draw at the dining hall on the 2nd floor of the administration building in two separate days. In a cheerful and harmonious atmosphere, employees exchanged New Year greetings and enjoyed a delicious meal with joy and satisfaction. At the end of the dinner, the lucky draw brought the gathering to another climax. The Company allocated 102,000 RMB to the lucky draw and the bonus covered 1120 people. When lucky numbers were announced, the moment of cheers and laughter kicked off, bringing the jubilation of the coming Spring Festival to the entire company.
To express thanks to all employees of Xinqiao Plant for their hard work during the past year, Xinqiao sub-office of the Company’s General Manager's Office presented a marvelous Hakka poon choi dinner at noon on February 1st in the living quarters and the canteen, where more than 4,000 workers gathered together to share the meal and celebrate the Spring Festival in advance.
"It’s delicious!" An employee who came to the dining table after finishing work in the workshop held up his thumb, "It makes me feel like at home!" Zhang Xiaolong from the Optical Communication Workshop told the reporter in excitement that he had constantly felt growing and improving together with T&W during the three years after leaving his home in Gansu Province. "The Company provides Hakka poon choi for both day shift and night shift, and buffet for dinner and midnight snack. I feel like at home, it’s heartwarming.” After the host delivered a brief speech, the employees enjoyed the Hakka poon choi at the canteen.
To express thanks to and cheer up employees who work until right before the Festival, a large lucky draw was held after the dinner on the site at 13:00, bringing the gathering to ecstasy. The Company specially allocated 128,000 RMB to the lucky draw, and the bonus covered a total of 1431 people.
